It finally happened! Snow!! When we found out we were moving back to the DC area, all I could think about was, I would see more snow than I'd seen in five years of living in the south. Well, after wishing for a white Christmas, which didn't happen, it snow about 3 inches today.

I enjoyed some time sitting on the couch with the cats nearby, and watching the snow coming down. Since Bitchin' Betty lives in the garage, I cranked on the two space heaters I have in the garage when I got back from dropping Jon at the metro. Just because it's freezing, does not mean the work stops! About fours hours later I hit the press. No matter how long I have them going, it is still cold in the garage, and I have to dress right. Lots to show for my effort in the last few days, but I'll wait until the weekend to post about them.
In my winter gear
Just before Christmas I got an e-mail update from the NSS people. They were offering free classes on various things to help people get ready for the show. Of course I signed up for all of them. Another opportunity was something called the Jimmy Fallon Thank You Note Challenge. As some of you may know, he believes in handwriting thank you notes. The people at NSS were asking us to send out favorite Thank You we make and in turn, they are going to send him a box of Thank You's in hopes that some are featured during his "Thank You Notes" segment. Here hoping and a peek at the one I submitted.
Herman the Monster
Herman and Iris cards are a line I have designed. So far in the line there is the Thank You, Birthday (you've seen), Wedding, Baby and Love or Valentine card. I will feature those soon. Cross your fingers that he'll pick Herman to make a national TV debut!
